Nicole Person_Rennell
Principle Dancer, Company Choreographer, Performs with MEM

Nicole began dancing at age three in Phoenix, Arizona and is in her 13th season with the wonderful AZDance Group family. The greatest portion of Nicole’s performance experience occurred with the Arizona Sunrays Dance Company, performing at recitals, concerts, sports events, competitions, fairs, and charity functions.

During her junior year of college, Nicole studied abroad in South Africa, continuing ballet training, ballroom dancing, and focusing on African dance. Nicole is one of the co-choreographer’s for AZDance Group’s work “Moving Through Domestic Violence,” which was motivated by her academic work in South Africa. She also pursued dance courses during her undergraduate at Arizona State University. Currently, Nicole is a resident physician at San Francisco General Hospital in UC San Francisco’s Family and Community Medicine residency program.

Nicole has taught and choreographed for Janet Lang Dance Studio in Rochester, Minnesota, where she attended medical school at the Mayo Clinic. Nicole also studied for her master’s degree in public health at the University of Cambridge on the Gates Cambridge Scholarship, teaching ballet for the university ballet society and choreographing for society performances.

She would like to thank God, her family, and her friends for all their love and support.
