Children’s Company Member, Performs with MEM

Briana Santa Cruz is twelve years old and has been dancing since the age of seven. She has studied and performed with AZDance Group and Miss Kenda Newbury for the past five years. She has primarily studied ballet, jazz and contemporary and is currently taking classes at Bender Performing Arts. She has performed at the Orpheum Theater, Paradise Valley Community College and Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. Briana performed in the winter and spring productions for AZDance Group, as well as a production of The Snow Queen and many community events such as Carefree Christmas.


Briana enjoys co-choreographing for AZDance Group with her friend Shaeleigh. She loves being a part of AZDance Group and performing. Some of Briana’s most enjoyable dance performances have been with the Movement E-Motion (MEM) group. She is so grateful to study under “Miss Kenda” and to work with so many new and talented dancers and choreographers.


Briana enjoys school where she participates in the Spanish Immersion program and is a straight “A” student. She loves reading, arts and crafts, having sleepovers, swimming, playing soccer, softball, being a part of her Jr. Girl Scout Troop and spending time with her family and friends. Briana also enjoys spending summers hiking and fishing in Utah, going to the Durango Mountain Resort in Colorado, trips to Disneyland and playing with her twin brother Nicholas at the beach.
